Job Description:
A company is looking for a Cancer Registry Specialist to capture
and manage cancer patient data.
Key Responsibilities
Abstracts cancer data for epidemiological, behavioral, or medical
research
Coding reportable malignant and non-malignant diseases according to
state and accreditation standards
Performs case finding and follow-up to maintain registry follow-up
rates
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
1-3 years of experience in a similar role
Associates Degree
Oncology Data Specialist Certification or completion within 3 years
of hire
Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
Ability to tolerate interruptions in a fast-paced environment
